Symbols · stories · self-reflection

Listen inward. Walk gently.

Tarot, Chinese astrology, and a personal journey shaped by China, Taiwan, discipline and the quiet art of noticing.

A living practice, growing alongside my studies.

A path, not a destination

Spirituality with room to breathe.

For me, spirituality is not about surrendering every decision to cards or stars. It is a way to pause, recognize patterns, ask honest questions and return to life with more awareness.

01

Symbols open the door

An image, animal or card can give shape to something we already feel.

02

Stories create meaning

Ancient systems help us explore identity, change, courage and belonging.

03

Choice remains ours

A reading may offer perspective. Responsibility and the next step remain with us.

China gave me a language of symbols. Taiwan turned those symbols into human connection.

What I am learning

Two ways of listening.

This space begins simply. I am learning, documenting and practicing with care—without pretending the path is already finished.

Tarot student · reflective practice

Tarot

I am studying Tarot and offering learning-stage readings through imagery and archetypes. The cards do not command the future; they offer another angle from which to reflect.

  • One focused question
  • One- to three-card practice spreads
  • Gentle interpretation and an honest closing thought

Chinese Astrology

A study of cycles, elements, animals, yin and yang, and the way a birth moment can be read as a symbolic map rather than a fixed sentence.

  • The twelve zodiac animals
  • The five elements and their relationships
  • Four Pillars / BaZi foundations as my studies develop

The person behind the path

Hello, I’m Barak.

I am a photographer, Iaido and Jodo practitioner, gamer, volunteer and a lifelong student of people, stories and the quiet details that others sometimes miss.

My connection to China and Taiwan grew through photography, cultural encounters, academic study and friendship. Chinese astrology now gives me another way to explore the symbols and cycles that have drawn me for years.

I am at the beginning of this formal study. This site is a living notebook: honest about what I know, curious about what I do not, and open to changing as I learn.

The same eye, another language

Photography taught me to notice light.

Spiritual study asks me to notice what moves beneath it. Both begin with attention: the patience to stay with a face, a symbol or a moment until something true appears.
